Vocational school scholarship applications will be available to complete at ‘doylefound.org’ during open application cycles only. Current application cycles are November 1 thru February 1 (awarded by April 15) and May 1 thru August 1 (awarded by October 15) . Only those applicants receiving a scholarship will be notified, and notification is by email.
To apply, you must be enrolled in, or plan to enroll in one of the vocational schools listed on the vocational school scholarship application. If so, you may choose the “Apply for a Vocational School Scholarship Here” button. A complete application includes an application form, work experience information, a Student Aid Report (SAR) from FAFSA, financial aid information, cost of attendance information, and a letter of recommendation. All forms are available within the application menu.
The Student Aid Report (SAR) is generated by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The Student Aid Report provides validated information to assist organizations in making decisions about a student’s financial aid. See Sample SAR. A SAR “summary form” is not an acceptable substitution for the actual SAR. When applying, upload all 5 pages of your SAR as one document, not as separate pages.
Refer to the vocational school scholarship application page for information regarding qualifying vocational schools. You must be enrolled in, or plan to enroll in one of the vocational schools listed to apply for this scholarship. NO EXCEPTIONS.
This scholarship is restricted & each student’s scholarship is unique. Vocational school scholarships are for one vocational program only may only be used for specific remaining educational expenses and cannot be used to pay student loans or reimburse scholarship recipients for tuition already paid. Payments are made directly to the educational institution when a balance is due. Financial aid may affect the amount of the scholarship that can be used. All vocational school scholarship recipients are required to make payment requests and submit additional documents for the scholarship to be paid.
If awarded, the scholarship can only be used if you enroll in and attend the vocational school program and will be forfeited if you do not enroll in and/or attend the program.
6. If I did or did not receive a scholarship from this foundation, can I reapply during the following application cycle?
Yes. There is no limit to how many times an applicant can apply for the vocational school scholarship.
No. Documents must be uploaded to your application prior to the deadline. Emailed or mailed documents will not be accepted.
Once signed in, applicants will see a letter of recommendation request form. Once completed, it is automatically emailed to the letter author. The letter author receives the request by email and then directly uploads the letter which attaches to your scholarship application. Advise letter authors to check spam/junk folders for the request. If and only if an institution’s email system blocks the request, letters can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org ONLY FROM THE LETTER AUTHOR DIRECTLY. Advise the letter author to enter your name in the email subject line. Deadline for letter of recommendation submission is the same date as the application deadline. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Once you have filled out the application, complete your work experience and letter of recommendation request forms. You must “Submit” all 3 forms by the deadline. No changes can be made to the application or other forms after you submit them, or after the deadline. We encourage you to print or save your application and other forms.
If you see your documents’ names in the correct upload fields on your application, you have successfully uploaded them. You may upload new documents until the deadline as long as you have not submitted your application and forms. Unofficial transcripts can be submitted with your application.
Simply follow the directions to submit a blank form. All forms must be submitted to submit your application.
